You guys. I don’t understand how we’re officially in August. This year has been flying by.
I’ve had absolutely no ambition for the blog lately. There are a few factors, but that’s another story. Regardless, I didn’t recap June, so this is going to be a two month recap.
Settle in.
In June I read a total of 18 books
- Rescuing the Receiver by Rachel Goodman — 4 stars
- Listen to Your Heart by Kasie West — 5 stars
- Ain’t She a Peach by Molly Harper — 3 stars
- The Glass Butterfly by AG Howard — 5 stars
- Mail Order Cowboy by Maisey Yates — 3 stars
- The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater — all of the stars {reread}
- The Last Summer of the Garrett Girls by Jessica Spotswood — DNF
- Untamed Cowboy by Maisey Yates — 3 stars
- Moonlight Seduction by Jennifer L. Armentrout — 3 stars
- Tempting the Laird by Julia London — 3 stars
- Wicked and the Wallflower by Sarah MacLean — 5 stars
- The Highlander’s Promise by Lynsay Sands — 3 stars
- The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James — 2 stars
- The Brink of Darkness by Jeff Giles — 5 stars
- My Plain Jane by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows — 3 stars
- Beast: A Tale of Love and Revenge by Lisa Jensen — DNF
- One Small Thing by Erin Watt — 3 stars
And in case you’re counting, yes. There are only 17 books listed there and that’s because after finishing Wicked and the Wallflower, I immediately read it again. That’s how much I loved it.
In July I read a total of 17 books
- My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma — 4 stars
- When Life Gives You Demons by Jennifer Honeybourn — 3 stars
- Save the Date by Morgan Matson — 2 stars
- Contagion by Erin Bowman — 2 stars
- The Broken Vow by Scott Westerfeld — 4 stars
- Hidden Pieces by Paula Stokes — 5 stars
- The Duke Buys a Bride by Sophie Jordan — 3 stars
- Darkest Night by Megan Erickson — 3.5 stars
- The Warrior of Clan Kincaid by Lily Blackwood — 2 stars
- A Duke by Default by Alyssa Cole — 4 stars
- Born to be Wilde by Eloisa James — 4 stars
- The Impossibility of Us by Katy Upperman — 4 stars

- True Blue Cowboy by Sara Richardson — 2 stars
- Vicious by VE Schwab — 5 stars
- Good Time Cowboy by Maisey Yates — 3 stars
- Hard Riding Cowboy by Maisey Yates — 3 stars
This was a lot better than I expected. Between binging 5 seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine in a week and a half and SDCC, I was at 8 books a week ago. Hubs went out of town for four days and I lived like a hermit, reading as much as I could.
- Paula Stokes sent me a signed arc of her upcoming book, Hidden Places
- The Green PSI mailing for The Darkest Legacy had a bound manuscript + a hand written note from Alex
- Nisha Sharma sent me a signed copy of her book, My So-Called Bollywood Life
- Mysterious Galaxy made me scream by giving me an arc of Time’s Convert by Deborah Harkness
- The green PSI mailing for The Darkest Legacy had an early finished copy + swag {including a light bulb sippy I’m obessed with}
- Disney sent a “Witch, please” mailing with Hocus Pocus + delicious cookies + swag
I also got the orange psi mailing with candy and a gift card to see The Darkest Minds, Jimmy Patterson Books sent me Girls of Paper and Fire, the blue PSI mailing had a movie tie-in copy of The Darkest Minds + swag, I ordered and received the special edition of Legendary from Goldsboro Books, I got my greedy hands on an arc of The Dark Days Deceit, and 20th Century Fox sent me a dvd of Love Simon.
