Hi guys! *waves* Can you believe another month is gone? I don’t even know where time is going these days. September is still as hot as August, so we haven’t seen any sort of cool down here in San Diego.
Anyhoo. Here’s the monthly recap for September!
What did I read?
I read a total of 26 books
Book 26 was The Jock and the Fat Chick by Nicole Winters. There isn’t a cover for it on GR and I didn’t want to add that bland brown book they have up.
What did I get?
Oh man. This month was filled with a bunch of awesome things. I am such a spoiled brat.
I was able to get into the back room at my local indie and get my greedy hands on Endure by Sara B. Larson. I got a huge box of prizes from Macmillan and I nearly lost my shit when I got my first ever mailing from Harper {fingers crossed that continues.} The ever so lovely Suzanne Young sent me an arc of Poet Anderson…Of Nightmares {which you need to put on your TBR immediately…}
As if that wasn’t enough, Keiko let me borrow When We Collided by Emery Lord. AND Susan sent me the new covers for my hardcovers of Anna and Lola. Lastly, I ordered the Bookish Box from Appraising Pages because it was curated by Jennifer Niven.
What did I do?
Fangirled over:
- Josie Angelini and Mary Pearson for Firewalker
- Nicola Yoon for Everything, Everything
- Anna-Marie McLemore for The Weight of Feathers
- Aaron Hartzler for What We Saw
- Paul Dini on Batman Day

- Leila Sales for Tonight the Streets Are Ours
- Emma Mills for First & Then

- Entire first chapter of Dirty Talk by Megan Erickson {+ giveaway still going on!}

- Assuming nothing tragic happens, I have my tattoo appointment on 10/6. Everyone cross your fingers. BECAUSE I WANT IT.
What about you? How was your September? What was your favorite read?
Tell me everything.
Okay you really need to tell me how have you managed to read a total of 26 books in one month?! I am so jealous! And also all the books are pretty great! Sound like you had a really nice reading month, congratulations! :)

I try to read at least one book a day and usually read before I go to bed. Other than that, I guess I’m just a fast reader?

Dumplin was my favorite read in September. I requested The Jock and the Fat Girl on EW just this morning. I hope we don’t see a glut of those type of books because of Dumplin’s popularity. Great haul, and congrats on your Harper mailing!
I looooved Dumplin. Yeah, I also hope that’s not the new trend. I’m not sure I will want to read others because they just won’t stand up to the level Dumplin was.

26 books! How in the world did you manage that? haha. I’m lucky to get through one a week… damn full time work!
I go to work early in the morning, so I’m usually done between 1-2 in the afternoon. I read a lot when I get home, but mostly before I go to sleep.
