Hi guys! *waves* Here we are for the August wrap up and holy shit, where did summer go? Here in San Diego, it’s still hitting the high 90s every day and I’m beyond ready for winter weather.  Or what constitutes our winter weather…I really want some rain.

Anyhoo.  Here’s the recap for the month!

What did I read?

I read a total of 24 books.

One of the books was Vicarious by Paula Stokes.  It releases in 2016 and I’m just blown away by what she created in that book. I can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on it.

What did I get?

I got a few pretties in the mail this month: Dark Wild Night by Christina Lauren and Concentra8 by William Sutcliffe from the publishers. I won Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy from Epic Reads and The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagtch from Novl.  Annnd, the ever so lovely Kristina {aka: @gone_pecan} sent me an arc of Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon so I could have all of the copies.

I also had a mini meltdown at the new 2016 books that HC put up on EW.   There are a lot of gooooood titles that I know I won’t be waiting until next year to read.

  • Fangirling over Josie Angelini, Nicola Yoon, Andrew Smith, Kunal Nayyar, Aaron Hartzler, Paul Dini, and maybe a road trip to Arizona to see Erin Bowman and Rae Carson
  • Stuck in a Good Book hop
  • Long Beach Comic-Con

Sadly, I had to cancel my tattoo appointment, but I’m going to be making a new appointment for either the end of September or the beginning of October.
