I can’t believe we’re already in April. I know I say this every recap, but it always seems like I just did last month’s recap. Maybe it’s the procrastinator in me because these posts take forever to draft.

I sort of got in a slump in March. I just couldn’t bring myself to actually sit down and read anything. So even though that number is on the smaller side for me, I’m pretty pleased with it.
- The lovely Brighton Walsh sent me a package including a signed copy of her new book, Second Chance Charmer, plus a gorgeous silver bangle
- I bought myself the paperback of The Raven King {hilariously not pictured here} just to get the Opal tarot card
- Stephanie Garber spoiled me with the UK paperback of Caraval
- Berkley sent me The Kiss Quotient
- Bloomsbury sent me The Brink of Darkness
- The Novl sent me Defy the Stars and Defy the Worlds
- Getting all of these books made me scream
Macmillan sent me Blanca & Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore. And I have a couple of other things that I got in the mail but apparently I haven’t taken photos of them. So I’ll include them in next month’s recap.
Fangirled over:
- Tahereh Mafi and Marie Lu for Restore Me
- Ashley Poston for Heart of Iron
- Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff for Obsidio
- Gayle Forman for I Have Lost My Way
Interviewed:
- Alexandra Christo for To Kill a Kingdom
- Brigid Kemmerer for More Than We Can Tell
Special stuff:
- Reviewed Obsidio
- Love, Simon LA press junket
- Reading Rewind: The Raven Boys
- I had a press pass for WonderCon and went just to see Victoria Schwab. I had posted this photo on the morning of going up there and in my caption I said that I needed to decide which copy to bring. Victoria commented that I should bring all of them.
- We got to the signing area about 20 minutes before hand and the floor manager so nicely showed us where the the line was, so we got in line and waited.
- When I got to Victoria, she said, “How is my Lila” and I died.
- We chatted for a few minutes about foreign copies, her upcoming events, the release of Vicious, and maybe a couple of other things.
- Someone on Instagram let me know that a YouTuber had featured my photo on a segment that he had where he tries to recreate photos that he likes.
- He said my photo was gorgeous and talked about the actual placement and wondered where I would get a Gemina bookmark
- Then he did a side by side comparison of my photo to his recreation
- I didn’t make a note of his user name. I guess I thought I would remember? Anyhoo, if I find it, I’ll update this.
- Fangirling over: Roshani Chokshi, Jessica Cluess and maybe Veronica Roth. Plus, I might be going to Festival of Books, I haven’t decided.
- Reading Rewind: Yes, probably. I already know what book I’m going to read.
- Discussion post: Perhaps.
- Special Stuff: Mysterious Galaxy is starting a YA book club and I can’t wait.
How about you? How was your March? What was your favorite read for the month?
