The time it was a Mutiny {6}

Hi guys! Welcome to another edition of the mutiny.

What’s the mutiny you ask? Well, I have always said that I wasn’t going to become a review blog and yet, I’ve had this itch in the back of my head… so here we are. I’m waging a mutiny against myself and I’m going to do some mini reviews + feature upcoming reads I’m excited about.

For this specific edition, I’m going to share some my favorite reads from May, so settle in!

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson — 5★ — This one took some time for me to get into it, but once I got invested, I was all over it.  I loved Elisabeth and Nathaniel and I don’t have any words for Silas and his awesome.  I loved the story and the magic and I needed just a little more from the ending.

The Rogue of Fifth Avenue by Joanna Shupe — 5★ — I was basically in love with the entire Four Hundred series as they came out, so I’m absolutely here for any new series from Joanna.  I loved Mamie and Frank and their banter and chemistry. This was a great start to a new series and I’m hoping hoping hoping that Mamie’s sister gets the next book.

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren — 5★ — Hate to love written by Lo & C.  Enough said.

Brazen and the Beast by Sarah MacLean — 5★ — I’m pretty sure everyone knows how obsessed I am with Wicked and the Wallflower, so when I got approved for Brazen, I legit screamed and may or may not have ditched work a bit early to start it.  It was just as amazing as I was expecting and I’ve read it 4 times.

Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams — This book just sounds like so much fun.  A husband who finds a secret men’s book club that reads historical romance? count. me. in.

Mine by Courtney Cole — I recently received a copy of this and actually devoured it yesterday after getting hooked while looking for a quote to post on IG.  It’s an interesting premise and I really liked it.

Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey — I love the synopsis of this one and I’m eager to see how this meet-cute obsessed heroine meets her man.

What about you? Have you read any of these books or do you want to?

    I am hoping to get my hands on Sorcery of Thorns and Waiting for Tom Hanks this year. Hope your June is going well!

  2. I’m so excited for Sorcery of Thorns! I can’t wait until I get my copy! I actually didn’t love The Unhoneymooners ? Mostly because I really disliked the ending. And The Bromance Book Club looks super cute! I really love the cover! Every time I see it I feel so happy!

      Oooh, I hope you love Sorcery!! I can’t wait to see what you think of it. What part of the ending of Unhoneymooners did you dislike? I’m curious…

      Thanks for reading and commenting!
