Where has all of the time gone? HOW IS IT ALREADY NOVEMBER? I don’t understand how time is going by so so so quickly. Now that Halloween is over, it’s a downhill slide to Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’m not even prepared for that.
Ready to settle in?
In October, I read a total of 32 books. {Click on the covers for my review on GR}
I got to beta read Cashmere for Temple West {which doesn’t have a cover} and a new book for Jenn Bennett {which isn’t on GR yet}, so those aren’t shown above. Plus there were a couple of novellas, a Raven Boys drabble, something that didn’t have a cover, and I think a DNF so I don’t know what my “official” number is…
I was invited to read and review Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth, Swoon Reads has opened up to all sorts of YA and they sent an amazing pack complete with two arcs, awesome bookmarks, and a tote I’m in love with, and Jennifer Niven gave me more foreign copies of AtBP to add to my collection.
The lovely people at Penguin Teen sent me Amy Chelsea Stacie Dee, Griffin Teen sent me We Are Still Tornadoes, and my favorite people at my favorite bookstore gave me Strange the Dreamer.
Fangirled over:
- Jennifer Niven for Holding Up the Universe
- Leigh Bardugo, Emma Mills, and Caleb Roehrig in Arizona for Fierce Reads
- Gretchen McNeil, Kasie West, JR Johansson, and Bree Despain to celebrate I’m Not Your Manic Pixie Dream Girl
- Marie Lu, Amie Kaufman, and Jay Kristoff for The Midnight Star and Gemina
Interviewed:
- Anna-Marie McLemore for When the Moon was Ours
- Martina Boone for Illusion

- Cait from A Page with a View asked me to be featured in her Blogger Spotlight. This was really exciting because I think it’s the first time I’ve ever been interviewed for another blog.
- I got a new tattoo on my wrist. Please excuse the freshly unwrapped photo, it’s currently the only one I have.
- My bookstagram photo of I’m Not Your Manic Pixie Dream Girl was featured in Gretchen McNeil’s newsletter.

- Fangirling over Nicola Yoon

- Reviewing Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
- Reading Rewind: I’m going between two books right now, but I think I know which one it’s going be.

- And there will probably be 2 posts for Friday Favorites

I am excited to read The Upside Of Unrequited! I haven’t gotten my 2017 ARCs scheduled yet, so I have no idea when it publishes. Ha ha. I am happy you loved Carve the Mark. I was kind if wishy-washy about it after reading the Goodreads synopsis a while back, but all the first impressions from readers look great. I am looking forward to your blog review.
You had a great haul this month, too, with lots of pretties! I loooooveeeee the arrow tats and that was a fab place to put them.
Thanks again for having me on Friday Favorites! I love reading everyone else’s answers, too. The questions are fun. I’m looking forward to next month’s post.
